Free home cleaning for cancer patients in the Denver metro
Kathy Clean is a Premium Partner of Cleaning for a Reason, the nonprofit that gives free house cleaning to people going through cancer treatment. Every month, our crews donate professional cleanings to local patients and their families.
What we donate
Each month, Kathy Clean takes on up to two new patients referred by Cleaning for a Reason. Each patient receives two general house cleanings, one a month for two months, at no cost. The same insured, background-checked cleaning professionals who clean hundreds of Denver homes every month do the work.
We cover patients who live in our service area: Denver, Cherry Creek, Centennial, Aurora, Littleton, Englewood, Greenwood Village, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker, Castle Rock.
How it works
- The patient, or someone on their behalf, applies online at cleaningforareason.org/patients.
- Cleaning for a Reason reviews the application and matches the patient with a partner near their home.
- When the match is Kathy Clean, we reach out to schedule the two cleanings.

About Cleaning for a Reason
Since 2006, Cleaning for a Reason and its partners have provided free home cleaning to more than 65,000 cancer patients and their families across the United States and Canada, in services valued at more than $23 million. It is an ISSA Charity, the charitable arm of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association.
Questions
- Is the cleaning really free?
- Yes. There is no cost to the patient. Kathy Clean donates the cleanings, and Cleaning for a Reason does not charge patients anything.
- Who qualifies?
- Patients of any age with any type of cancer who are in treatment, recovering from cancer surgery, or in hospice care.
- What does the service include?
- Two general house cleanings, one a month for two months, at the patient's home. The program covers general cleaning, not deep or spring cleaning.
- How do I apply?
- Apply online at cleaningforareason.org/patients. Cleaning for a Reason reviews the application and matches patients with a local partner. Patients in our service area can be matched with Kathy Clean. Please do not apply through our quote form.
- Can I apply for someone else?
- Yes. Caregivers, family, friends, nurse navigators and doctors can apply on a patient's behalf, as long as the patient has agreed to receive the service.
- How can I help?
- Share the program with someone who could use it, or donate to Cleaning for a Reason at cleaningforareason.org/donors so more patients can be matched.
